Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3 Tbsp dill
2 Tbsp kosher salt
2 Tsp ground pepper
1 1/2 lb cod
4 eggs beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp ground pepper
1 Tbsp kosher salt
3 cups Oil
Directions:
Pat dry the fish the cut into even portions (best if 1- 1 1/2 inch thick).
In a large pot fill with oil and heat over medium heat get really hot before frying, it should start to boil.
Whisk flour, 2 Tbsp salt, dill, and 2 Tsp pepper divide into two medium bowls. Whisk eggs, milk, 1 tsp pepper, 1 Tbsp salt. Line bowls up flour, egg, flour.
Dip the cod in the flour then the egg then the flour coat evenly and place in the hot oil. Cook until golden turn and cook until that side is golden. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel. Repeat until all the pieces are fried.
Let cool serve with with fries and enjoy a nice plate of fish and chips.
It makes it easier if you keep one hand for the egg and one for the flour so your hands don’t get gummy. This is also a dinner my toddler likes, so it’s toddler tested and approved.
